Fruity ideas for:

Breakfast

  • Porridge with a serving of strawberries and a glass of fruit juice.
  • Strawberry smoothie made with a serving of strawberries and a serving of orange juice and frozen yoghurt.
  • Glass of fruit juice – orange, apple, pineapple, grapefruit and half a grapefruit.
  • Fruit yogurt topped with granola, 1 chopped pear and nectarine slices with drizzle of honey.

Lunch

  • Watermelon cubes with thinly sliced onion rings and cubes of feta for a refreshing salad.
  • Slices of barbecued or roast duck, honeydew melon cubes, pistachios and rocket leaves tossed in an Asian style chilli dressing.

Dinner

  • Fresh slices of melon with lean ham, prawns, smoked chicken, roast duck or prosciutto.
  • Pineapple as a topping for pizza.
  • Orange segments and beetroot salad.

Desserts

  • Fill a glass with low-fat natural yoghurt, top with sliced banana and strawberries, drizzle passion fruit pulp on top.
  • Exotic fresh fruit salad
  • Fruit flan or tart
  • Apple, berry or rhubarb crumble with oat topping.

Snacks

  • Serving of grapes with cubed cheese.
  • Single serving packs of apple sauce that don’t need refrigeration can also be kept at your desk.
  • Children love dipping strawberry wedges or smaller berries into a tub of yoghurt.
  • Smoothies are delicious. Blitz up different fruits with some yogurt, add a twirly straw and enjoy!

  • Bake some homemade mini muffins‚ adding fruit (blueberries, banana, raspberries) where you can.
